Touchscreen Coffee Table-Microsoft Surface

Yes, you read the title correctly, Microsoft Surface is a touchscreen coffee table capable of everything from picking great restaurants for a night on the town to giving you direction to a movie theater with movie times. It allows you to sync smartphone contacts, send pictures or videos via email with handwriting recognition and just about everything accept cooking dinner. Its the equivalent if not better then a giant IPhone with a Dark Wood finish! Just Watch the Video and you'll see why no words can explain this incredible table.

Being the Techie that I am, I've been following this product for around 2 years now and it's finally starting to catch on. I saw CNN use it on 08's Election Coverage and just recently at the Marriott on Peachtree in Atlanta. As you would have expected from the expansive features from this God of Tech + Decor hybrids, it also comes with a hefty price tag starting at $60,000. There's a series of videos detailing its features at Microsoft Surface and Popular Mechanics and readers... please, try not to drool on your keyboards. Until next tech HFTechie signing off.

Model Morphosis

The life of a model is ever changing. Don't be who you want to be- be who the photgrapher, designer, or magazine wants you to be. A model's physical appearance is as varied as the runways the walk on. Sometimes it's hard to believe that the girl walking gracefully at Chanel is the same one skipping youthfully at Betsey Johnson.

The NY Times ran an article called Model Morphosis charting a day in the life of a few models going through Fashion Week. If I didn't know it was just one girl, I almost wouldn't believe it.

A model goes through a lot of makeup (and makeup remover) in one Fashion Week, but imagine how much a supermodel goes through in a career. Let's run with that...

For this little experiment, I picked Isabeli Fontana. She models for Victoria's Secret, so I think that makes her pretty super. She's also doing ads for Valentino, Versace, and Roberto Cavalli this season. The photos run from 2001 to 2008. I think her makeup removal for Viktor & Rolf (row 5, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th pictures) alone could keep the baby oil industry afloat.
